College football’s spring national signing day is upon us and it’s no surprise that Deion Sanders and Jackson State have won this year’s HBCU football recruiting cycle.
A total of 10 of the top 25 class of 2021 recruits committed or signed to an HBCU are headed to Jackson State, according to 247Sports.com. Headlining the list is Sanders’ son, Sheduer. The four-star quarterback from Trinity Christian committed to JSU in October, shortly after his father was hired as coach.

He’s joined at the top of the list by De’Juan Warren. Warren was spectacular in one season at Lackawanna Community College. He’s rated as the number two player out of JUCO this year, and had heavy interest from SEC and ACC schools, but chose Deion Sanders and JSU.
The highest non-Jackson State commitment for the class of 2021 is C.J. Dixon. Dixon is a pro-style quarterback with a 247Sports composite rating of .8622, tying him with Jackson State defensive tackle Braezhon Ross for fifth amongst HBCUs.
Linebacker Deshauwn Alleneye is the highest rated MEAC for the class of 2021. The St. Lucie West Centennial star signed with Morgan State back in December. He’s rated as the 43rd best inside linebacker in the country according to 247Sports.com’s composite ratings.
Ok, let’s get to the list. This will be updated as signings come in, but for the most part, they are what they are. Please note that these are only high-school and JUCO signees. A separate post will be made for transfers.
