The Amir Hall and Bowie State show hit the road again and for the second week in a row escaped with a win that was a little bit tougher than it should have been.
Bowie State built up a big cushion and then held off a late rally attempt to come away with a 47-41 win over McKendree.

BSU led 47-20 after a 65-yard touchdown run by Hall late in the fourth quarter before allowing McKendree to score 21 unanswered points. Time would run out on the home team, however, as its final touchdown came as the buzzer sounded. It heled McKendree to 89 yards on the ground, but did allow 354 yards passing and six touchdowns.
Hall, meanwhile, was his usual sensational self. He completed 41 of 52 passes for 352 yards and two touchdowns. His second touchdown pass gave him 80 for his career, passing former Norfolk State star Aaron Sparrow for third on the CIAA’s all-time list. He also hurt his opponent with his legs, rushing for 95 yards and two touchdowns on the day.

The win improved Bowie State’s record to 2-1. BSU will play its fourth game in a row on the road in Raleigh when it travels to take on St. Augustine’s next Saturday. Last season BSU beat SAU 66-20.
