This past Saturday Tennessee State made a road trip to face a winless Tennessee Tech team.  The Tigers were coming off a bye week that followed a homecoming loss to Austin Peay.  TSU was 4-3 entering the ballgame and trailed at halftime, 20-17.

Speaking of halftime, when the Aristocrat of Bands takes the field, you can always expect a really good show.  Enjoy this slideshow of their halftime performance.

Career day

Patrick Smith had a career day for touchdowns on Saturday for TSU.  The senior wide receiver, and preseason OVC player of the year, caught three touchdown passes and was the only Tiger to make it into the end zone.  He had a total of seven catches on the day for 152 yards. His third touchdown of the day put TSU ahead 24-20 early in the third quarter.

The band played on

The Tigers eventually dropped the ballgame 30-26 after being outscored 10-2 the rest of the way.  But the band played on as always.
