Alabama A&M lands two QBs with P5 offers

Alabama A&M

Alabama A&M already has one of the best quarterbacks in FCS football. But Aqeel Glass won’t be around forever, so AAMU has been searching for its signal-caller of the future.

It may have found it in Kaden McMullen, a three-star quarterback from Missouri. Or it might have him in CJ Dixon Jr., an ESPN four-star pro passer.

McMullen is a 6’4 pro-style passer from Living Word Christian in O’Fallon, Missouri. He held seven offers, according to 247Sports, including Missouri, Idaho and UNLV.

The O’Fallon, Missouri native passed for 6,898 yards and 73 TD while completing 62 percent of his passes in three years as a varsity player. The quarterback also ran for over 1,000 yards and 12 touchdowns in his career and was named both All-District and All-Conference as a senior.

Dixon was an ESPN 4-star recruit, the No. 13 pocket passer and the No. 194 overall prospect in the nation for the 2020 class. The Loganville, GA passer originally committed to Illinois before spending this past season at Jireh Prep School in Indian Trail, NC. He completed 169 of 315 passes for 2,434 yards, 21 touchdowns and 8 interceptions for the Rams as a senior in 2019, leading the team to a 10-3 record.

He held 11 FBS offers, including Arkansas, Baylor and Alabama. Yes, that Alabama.
