Four seniors end careers as HBCU Hoops Legends

Charles “CJ” Williams has also written his name in conference record books. The Richmond, VA native became the all-time leading scorer in the 49-year history of MEAC basketball last month when he passed the 2,100 mark.

The 2016-17 MEAC Rookie of The Year has been a consistent scorer since the day he set foot in the Burr. After averaging 17 points per game as a freshman he teamed up with guard RJ Cole to form an electrifying one-two punch that kept Howard in every game.

This season was a rough one for the program, but Williams continued to put in work until Howard was eliminated by North Carolina A&T in the MEAC quarterfinals. His 18 points that game gave him 2,404 in his career, setting a new mark for MEAC scorers to shoot for.
