MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State announced the 2020 signing class officially prior to the third annual Signing Day Bash Wednesday night at ASU Stadium.
The class features signees from the state of Alabama, Florida, Georgia and South Carolina; including four signees from the city of Montgomery. The Hornets were able to fill needs on both sides of the football as they signed 14 defensive players, eight offensive players and one special teams’ standout.

The Hornets also welcomed in eight mid-year transfers. Below is a list of the 2020 signees, followed by the mid-year transfers.
James Burgess / 6-3 / 200 / DB / Center Point, Ala. / Huffman HS
Recorded 52 tackles, 18 pass breakups, four interceptions and two forced fumbles his senior year at Huffman High School … Chose Alabama State over Memphis.
Vamir Cadet, 5-10 / 175 / ATH/ Hollywood, Fla. / McArthur HS
Played multiple positions at McArthur HS … Led the team to the state playoffs … Also lettered in track and field … Chose Alabama State over Alabama A&M.
Myles Crawley, 6-4 / 215 / QB / Tucker, Ga. / Tucker HS
Threw for 4,015 yards and 42 touchdowns, while completing 65 percent of his passes his junior and senior seasons at Tucker High School … Played in the Georgia Coaches’ Association North-South All-Star.
Dylan Creech / 6-0 / 225 / LB / Geneva, Ala. / Geneva HS
Named a Blue-Gray All-American … Recorded over 350 tackles in his high school career with more than 50 tackles for loss … Picked off five passes and ran two back for touchdowns … Forced 10 fumbles, including six his senior season … Also scored 20 touchdowns on offense.
