BATON ROUGE —  Southern University Athletics announced on Wednesday the cancellation of the HBCU World Series game against North Carolina A&T scheduled for May 24th in Chicago.

Terms of the contract between Southern and BCSG were not fulfilled prior to the baseball teams departure from Baton Rouge. Concerns also arose in regards to inclement weather projected in Friday’s forecast and the availability of Guaranteed Rate Field, home of the Chicago White Sox, beyond Friday should the game have to be postponed.
