Former Prairie View A&M University linebacker Anthony Stubbs has earned a free agent contract in the National Football League.

Stubbs signed with the Cleveland Browns on Friday May 3, 2019.

“This came out of no where and I am just thanking God, honestly,” Stubbs said.

As a senior last season, Stubbs led the Prairie View in tackles with 78, along with 4.5 sacks, one interception and two passes defended.  In 2017, he finished second on the team with 69 tackles, 5.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and two passes defended.  The native of Millville, N.J. attended Millville High School.

Stubbs attended Monroe College before coming to Prairie View.

His teammate, Quinton Bell, was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in last month’s NFL Draft.
