Two missed free throws by Southern University with five seconds remaining left the door open for a go ahead Grambling three-pointer, but the Lady Tigers couldn’t convert.

Camryn London’s attempt was blocked by Taneara Moore, as no. 1 seed Southern (19-12) held on for a 71-69 win over Grambling (16-16) and a spot in the SWAC Championship game.

Shakyla Hill was one rebound short of a triple-double in what was her final game in a Grambling uniform. Hill finished with 21 points, nine rebounds and 11 assists.

Skylar O’Bear led Southern with 17 points as the Lady Jaguars advance to Saturday’s SWAC Championship.
