NASHVILLE–Tennessee State’s near upset of Vanderbilt was quickly forgotten after news of Christion Abercrombie’s head injury emerged on Saturday evening. What can’t be forgotten, however, is that this year’s TSU football team is for real.
They destroyed Bethune-Cookman in the season opener before having two games in a row canceled because of weather. TSU responded with a dramatic win over Eastern Illinois and lost 31-27 against Vanderbilt despite leading in the fourth quarter.
The OVC might have a surprise contender this year in Tennessee State. Heading into Saturday’s game against Austin Peay enjoy these Vincent Myers photographs from the Vanderbilt game.
