CAU women’s basketball honored by Atlanta City Council

Special honor for a special team in Atlanta.

Winning has its perks and for the champions of the SIAC that meant being the toast of Atlanta for a day.  The Clark Atlanta University women’s basketball team was honored with a proclamation by the city of Atlanta on Monday.

City Councilmember Michael Julian Bond presented the honor to the 2018 SIAC Champions.

First-year magic

The Lady Panthers won this year’s basketball championship under first-year head coach Yolanda Moore. CAU finished the season at 20-9 after a first-round loss in the NCAA Tournament.  With graduation quickly approaching, Monday’s event offered the ladies one more chance to be together as a team.
