Four years ago, Brandon Parker entered North Carolina A&T a long, lanky prospect from Kannapolis, NC. He is now officially an NFL player as he was selected by the Oakland Raiders in the third round.
Parker was selected 65th overall by the Raiders on Friday.
At 6’7, 299lbs, Parker was a four-year starter for the Aggies. He was equally effective at protecting the ball and opening holes for running back Tarik Cohen during his record-setting career.
He is the second HBCU player picked, following former South Carolina State linebacker Darius Leonard who was picked by the Colts.
