Spring football is in full bloom, but one HBCU is now looking for a new head coach.
Dan Land has resigned as Albany State head coach, effective immediately, according to a release by the school. The former NFL defensive back coached the past two seasons at his alma mater.
“We appreciate the years of service Coach Land has contributed to this institution,” said Sherie Gordon, director of athletics. “I have accepted his resignation and wish him success in his future endeavors.”
ASU went 11-8 in his two years as coach, the first under the interim tag.
