It won’t show up in a boxscore, but Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive back Ryan Smith just made one of the biggest plays of his young career. The rookie from North Carolina Central made a diving leap to keep a punt from going into the endzone.
When taken in freeze-frame, Smith’s save looks a lot like the infamous Smooth Criminal pose by Michael Jackson.
