R. Kelly Jr. helps Savannah State come up with OT win over Oregon State

Several HBCUs have come up with wins against P5 teams and Savannah State is now among them. SSU came up with a 93-90 overtime win against Orgegon State on Saturday after leading throughout the game.

Robert Kelly Jr., (no relationship to that other R. Kelly) led the way with 24 points and nine rebounds off the bench for SSU, who improved to 3-8 overall.

SSU led 50-44 at the half and managed to withstand a late OSU run that forced overtime. A 7-0 run in the extra period proved to be the difference and helped the MEAC squad pick up its third win of the season.

SSU shot 15-for-34 from the 3-point line, which has been its trademark so far this season, as they came into the game leading the nation in 3-pointers made per game (15.5).
