Alcorn State is just over a week removed from its loss in the 2016 SWAC Championship Game, but it is already looking forward to the 2017 season. The three-time defending SWAC East Division champs released their 2017 football schedule this weekend.
The schedule includes non-conference games against an SIAC team (Miles College), an FBS team (FIU) and an FCS team (McNeese State), as well as a Sept. 30 game against Texas Southern that will not count as a SWAC Game.
“Having six home games is big for us and I’m all for that,”Alcorn head coach Fred McNair said via AlcornSports.com. “Anytime you’re at home it excites you. I love having all the fans come out and support Alcorn.”
