Former Jackson State star Buster Barnett involved in deadly love triangle, according to police

A former Jackson State star and NFL player is at the center of a love triangle gone deadly wrong. Clayton County Police say Buster Barnett’s mistress kidnapped and murdered his wife before killing herself, WUSA reports. 

Lisa Brown showed up at the front door of Sandra Barnett’s home on Wednesday afternoon. She was then involved in a police chase on Thursday heading toward’s Alabama. Shortly after crossing the Alabama line she stopped her car and police say that’s when she shot the wife of the former JSU star before then turning the gun on herself.

Barnett and Brown are believed to have had a lengthy affair.

Barnett played at Jackson State in the late 70s and early 80s before spending four seasons with the Buffalo Bills.
