Former TSU Star Earns AFC Defensive Player of The Week

Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie earned AFC Defensive POTW for his performance against the Redskins. 

As the latest first-round NFL Draft pick to come from an HBCU, Denver Broncos cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie has a lot of people rooting for him. The former Tennessee State put up a big time performance on Sunday against the Washington Redskins, earning him AFC Player of The Week honors.

//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js Rodgers-Cromartie had five tackles and broke up three passes, including an interception that he returned 75 yards for a score. This is the second time that he has been named defensive player of the week, and the first since 2009. Since he entered the league in 2008, no player has broken up more passes.
