Virginia Tech running back Bhayshul Tuten is running through the ACC similar to how he was running through the Big South at HBCU North Carolina A&T. Tutten has blossomed the season into one of the best running backs in the ACC.
Tuten is currently ranked 2nd in rushing yards with 605 and first in Rushing TDS with nine. He has rushed for over 100 rushing yards in four of his last five games.
Against Stanford, his most recent game, he surpassed over 3,000 rushing yards in his career.
For many North Carolina A&T fans, this was just a matter of time. Bhayshul Tuten played his first two years at NCAT in 2021 and 2022, but his true domination started his sophomore year in 2022.
During his sophomore season, he rushed for over 1,000 yards — totaling 1,363 — while also scoring 13 rushing touchdowns. Out of his 11 games that season he rushed for over 100 yards his last 10 games. Tuten rushed for over 100 yards in 10 consecutive games while leading North Carolina A&T to a 7 game win streak. He hit the transfer portal following that season, initially committing to Boston College before landing at Virginia Tech.
The former Aggie is making a name for himself in the ACC at Virginia Tech while impressing scouts for an opportunity to get an invite to the NFL Combine. With six games left Byshaul Tuten has 395 more yards to get before he hits 1,000 for the 2024 season.
Odds are, as long as he stays healthy, he gets it.
