Norfolk State star Joe Bryant wins MVP of pro basketball league

Former Norfolk State University basketball star Joe Bryant is adding to his trophy case in the professional ranks.

Bryant was named MVP of the Polish Basketball League by the league’s coaches.

“I am grateful to God, without whom I would not have achieved anything, and to my wonderful teammates and coaches,” Bryant said in a statement. “Without their support, winning such an award would not have been possible. Hard work in the gym and exhausting hours of training on the court allowed me to win the MVP title and a place in the first team of the regular season. I am happy about this award and at the same time humble, focused on further work. I thank everyone who voted for me.”
