Virginia Union and Bowie State tied atop D2 regional poll

The Division II Sports Information Directors Association released its weekly women’s basketball poll on Monday for the Atlantic Region and two CIAA teams are tied for first.

The unbeaten Bowie State Lady Bulldogs and Virginia Union Lady Panthers are both at the top of the poll. Bowie State is sporting a 13-0 record so far this season while Virginia Union is 9-1 overall. The two teams will square off on January 30 at Bowie State.

Until then the Bulldogs will return to action at Johnson C. Smith University on Thursday while VUU plays Monday night at Saint Augustine’s.
