Grambling ends ULM’s 14-game home win streak

Grambling just picked up a big non-conference win over one of its closest neighbors.

GSU went down the road to the University of Lousiana-Monroe and came out with a 66-61 win to snap the home team’s 14-game win streak in its own gym.

Grambling guard Ivy Smith Jr. scored 15 points, including the go-ahead basket. DeVante Jackson added 12 points and Kelton Edwards chipped in 11.

The Tigers trailed 32-31 at halftime, but outscored their opponents 35-29 in the second half to pick up the win.

GSU came in with a 4-5 record, with just one win coming against Division I competition. It also defeated Southeastern Louisiana last month.
