Alcorn will host non-conference games against Fort Valley State on Sept. 12, and Virginia Lynchburg on Oct. 31.The SWAC will move to an eight-game conference schedule.
The Braves will host Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Grambling State, Alabama State and Jackson State. They’ll travel to Mississippi Valley State, Alabama A&M, Southern and Prairie View A&M.
“It’s a competitive schedule, and it always will be in this league. We obviously start with a very challenging game at Auburn that will tell us a lot about ourselves right off the bat. The eight-game conference schedule helps us not need to find an extra game, and gives the fans the opportunity to see more SWAC football,” Alcorn head coach Fred McNair said.
