Alabama State begins spring practice on Monday

MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State begins spring practice Monday afternoon at the Houston Markham Football Complex, with spring culminating with the Black and Gold game April 13.

The first practice of the spring will begin at 2:30 pm and run until 5 pm, at which time head coach Donald Hill-Eley will meet with the media. It is the first of four practices over the course of the week for the Hornets, who will scrimmage Saturday.

Alabama State will go three weeks during spring with practices scheduled Monday and Tuesday, as well as Thursday and Friday. They will hold scrimmages each Saturday of the spring, including the Black and Gold game.

Season tickets for the 2019 football season will go on sale April 1 at the Alabama State University ticket office, and the Hornets open the season in Birmingham (Ala.) against UAB, before opening their home portion of the schedule September 7 against Tuskegee.
