Fairfield, AL–Heading into the SIAC Championship game Miles College is the HBCU Gameday Band of the Week. The Purple Marching Machine is under the direction of Willie J. Snipes, Jr., a Miles alumnus.
“Our sound is not like anyone else’s. If you go listen to any other band in America; Miles’ Band sounds like Miles’ Band, and that’s the formula we want to keep,” said Snipes.
