North Carolina A&T is having quite a year championship wise. The Aggies have added another trophy to the collection with a 12-9 victory over Bethune-Cookman on Sunday in the MEAC Championship.

The Wildcats were up 5-0 heading into the bottom of the third but the Aggies were determined to keep pace. A&T stayed close with four runs to close out the inning, trailing by just one.
There is a fierce battle going on in Daytona Beach between @NCATSUbaseball and Bethune-Cookman. @NCATAGGIES came back from a 5-0 deficit and now trail 8-7 in the sixth inning. @NCATAGGIES are still in the winner's bracket so BCU must beat A&T twice today if they want the crown.

Heading into the bottom of the fifth things were looking good for Bethune-Cookman again, leading 8-4. The Aggies scored three runs in the bottom of the inning again to keep it a one-point game.

A&T was able to put the game away in the bottom of the eighth inning, picking up four runs to take the lead for good. The Wildcats were able to score one in the top of the ninth, but it wasn’t enough to catch back up with the Aggies.

The win gives North Carolina A&T the MEAC’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
