FAMU coach signs contract, waiting on BOT approval

Alex Wood is one step closer finally being under contract as FAMU’s next head football coach. Four-and-a-half months after being named the program’s coach, the former Buffalo head coach has signed with the school, per Tallahassee.com’s Jordan Culver.

//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js Wood was introduced as the head coach on Dec. 23. He’s been acting in the role since then, and ran his first spring football game on Saturday.

Still, as late as February, no one was sure if the Board of Trustees hadn’t even been on a Board meeting agenda.
