"Uncle Luke" weighs in on FAMU coaching search

A day after athletic director Kellen Winslow Sr. resigned, FAMU fans still don’t know who will guide their program back to glory. Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell knows exactly who he thinks should run the show at FAMU: interim coach Corey Fuller.

Though Campbell, a Miami native, is most closely associated with the Miami Hurricanes, he obviously has some opinions about what’s going on in Tallahassee as well.

Fuller tweeted on Monday that he was not still in the running to coach FAMU, but later retracted that statement.

Interim athletic director Nelson Townsend said he hoped to hire a coach by Friday. Two candidates for the job, Latrell Scott and Willie Simmons, were introduced as head coaches at Norfolk State and Prairie View on Tuesday.
