It’s the end of an era at Norfolk State–The Pete Adrian Era–to be exact. Adrian will retire as NSU’s head coach according to the Virginia Pilot’s David Hall.

//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js Adrian has coached NSU since 2005, leading the team to a 54-60 record during his tenure. NSU recorded four winning seasons under Adrian, including the 2011 squad which went 9-3 and came up with the program’s first MEAC title.
Norfolk State has finished under .500 in each of the last three seasons, including a 4-8 record in 2014. His contract extension, signed following the 2011 championship, was set to expire in 2015.
