Breaking: Norfolk State’s Adrian To Retire

( Pete Adrian led Norfolk State to its only MEAC title in 2011.

It’s the end of an era at Norfolk State–The Pete Adrian Era–to be exact. Adrian will retire as NSU’s head coach according to the Virginia Pilot’s David Hall.

// Adrian has coached NSU since 2005, leading the team to a 54-60 record during his tenure. NSU recorded four winning seasons under Adrian, including the 2011 squad which went 9-3 and came up with the program’s first MEAC title.

Norfolk State has finished under .500 in each of the last three seasons, including a 4-8 record in 2014. His contract extension, signed following the 2011 championship, was set to expire in 2015.
