Mike Davis may not have been happy with the way his team finished the season, but the Texas Southern coach has apparently done enough to gain the interest of other programs. Jacksonville University is set to interview Davis for its head basketball coaching vacancy, according to KRIV in  Houston.

Davis just wrapped up his second year a TSU coach, leading the school to a SWAC Conference Tournment title and and NCAA appearance. He also led the team to a SWAC regular season title in 2013, but the team was barred from postseason play due to APR issues. He is currently 36-32 in the last two seasons.

Davis came onto the national scene after leading Indiana to the NCAA Title Game back in 2002 shortly after replacing Bob Knight. He also coached at UAB before coming to TSU, first as an assistant before taking over on an interim basis.
