Three HBCU Prospects Headed For NFL Combine

//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js The NFL has released its 2014 Combine list, and three HBCU players were on it, including two from Tennessee State. Headlining the list is Alabama State’s Isaiah Crowell, who led the SWAC in rushing as a junior. The TSU pair include offensive guard Kadeem Edwards and tight end AC Leonard.

Leonard and Crowell both ended up at HBCUs after transferring from SEC programs. Leonard started his career at Florida before legal issues resulted in him coming to Tennessee State, where he caught 85 passes for 11 touchdowns in two seasons. Crowell was the SEC Freshman of The Year in 2011 after rushing for over 900 yards at Georgia. He rushed for nearly 2,000 yards and 30 touchdowns in two seasons at Alabama State.
