Being an official is no easy job, but the SWAC isn’t trying to hear that. The conference announced it suspended the crew of officials who worked the Southern-Alabama A&M game on Oct. 12.
Officials initially let the clock run out after Southern was called for intentional grounding. They restored time after realizing Southern had a timeout remaining, according to the Baton Rouge Advocate.
Southern won 20-17 in double overtime.
