Justin Thorpe, Virginia State

Last week we listed Thorpe as fifth on our list of top D2 quarterbacks in HBCU football. Saturday he showed us why he may end up higher when all is said and done. Thorpe got it done through the air and on the ground, completing 20 of 33 passes for 259 yards and two touchdowns, while running for 182 yards with two more touchdowns. His final pass was a 24-yard touchdown strike to Gene Holloman to win the game in triple overtime.
