The Cowboys released veteran safety Will Allen on Tuesday. Hamilton was signed by the Cowboys following the draft after one season at South Carolina State. He was released during the preseason but signed back to the practice squad.
The Cowboys current roster includes two players from HBCUs, Hampton’s Justin Durant and Grambling State’s Jason Hatcher.
