Florida A&M University recently celebrated its annual homecoming event, which culminated with its football game against Texas Southern University. The Tallahassee, FL HBCU is one of the largest HBCUs in the country, and the event attracts alums and Rattlers from all across America. On this episode of “Rolling with the Rattlers,” sponsored by AT&T, Vaughn Wilson and Tolly Carr break down all the events that made for another successful FAMU homecoming for 2024.
The Rattlers rolled on the field against Texas Southern, winning 52-28, and we have the highlights for you. There’s also no shortage of content in this episode dealing with the Marching 100, the iconic marching band that carries the FAMU banner across the world. We allow viewers the opportunity to hear from FAMU’s first female drum major along with its current and second female drum major Oluwamodupe Oloyede.
As the buzz of homecoming starts to wear down the hype begins to build for the annual Florida Classic versus rival Bethune-Cookman. The Florida Classic will be played on November 23 in Orlando, Florida. The game is scheduled to kickoff at 2:30 pm EST.
