HBCU program on the rise gets unprecedented broadcast time

COLUMBIA, S.C. — In partnership with the SIAC, the ESPN Family of Networks, and HBCU GO, Allen University’s football team will play five of their ten games during the 2024 season on national network television. 

Three of the Yellow Jackets’ five home games are included in the television schedule, beginning with their September 28 contest against Miles on HBCU GO. The following week, on October 12, Allen travels to Fort Valley State for a matchup on ESPN+. This season’s “Taylor Street Rivalry” clash will be featured on ESPN+ on October 19 as Allen hosts Benedict. Then, on November 2, Allen’s homecoming celebration will be shared with a nationwide audience as the Yellow Jackets take on Central State at 2:00 p.m. on ESPN+. To conclude the regular season, Allen will visit rival Edward Waters for the AME Football Classic on November 9 as the game will air on ESPN+.

In addition to the network television schedule, Allen’s first home football game against Point University on September 21 and their October 5 contest against Albany State will be aired on a video live stream provided by Allen University.
