Hampton game halted at halftime

Malfunctioning shot clock forces game to be suspended.

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Due to a permanent mechanical malfunction of one shot clock at halftime, the Hampton vs. Gardner-Webb men’s game was suspended at intermission with Hampton trailing the Runnin’ Bulldogs 39-31 on Monday night.

Ben Stanley leads Hampton with 16 points, while Jermaine Marrow has five points and four assists for Hampton.  Jose Perez leads the hosts with 19 points.

These teams are scheduled to play at the HU Convocation Center on February 20.  Stay tuned to www.hamptonpirates.com for information on the resumption of this contest.

The men are home again on Thursday night hosting Campbell at 7 pm.
