Bethune-Cookman kept pace with the top half of the MEAC with a 73-52 win over North Carolina Central in women’s basketball.
The first six minutes of the game was a back and forth affair until the Lady Wildcats took control. Amaya Scott helped break up a 12-12 game late in the first quarter with a game-high 19 points. Scott was 8-15 from the floor with seven rebounds and five steals.

Paulina Afriyie led North Carolina Central University with 17 points and surpassed the 1,000 career point total during the game.
Bethune-Cookman is on the road Monday for a huge game against North Carolina A&T. Heading into Saturday’s action the Lady Aggies were 4-0 in conference play and 12-4 overall.
North Carolina Central will play at Florida A&M on Monday afternoon.
