Clark Atlanta’s Alexis Crawford found dead

The story of Alexis Crawford has come to a tragic, unimaginable end.

The Clark Atlanta student was found dead on Friday in an Atlanta park area. Police believe she was murdered and her roommate Jordyn Jones, along with her boyfriend, Barron Brantley, are accused of the crime. Jones and Brantley reportedly led police to Crawford’s body.

“The case has come to one of the saddest conclusions possible and has been absolutely heartbreaking,” Atlanta Police Chief Erika Shields said on Friday. “To Alexis’ family, our hearts go out to you. I am so truly sorry that we could not provide you with a better ending.”

Crawford was last seen on Oct. 31. She was reported missing the next day.

“Our deepest thoughts and prayers are with her family and with everyone who knew and loved Alexis,” CAU President George T. French, Jr. wrote in a letter on Friday evening. “While details of the incident are coming to light, please know that I, along with the rest of the CAU administration are here with our student, faculty, staff and CAU alumni.”
