Virginia State gets a milestone win at Penn Relays

Trojans make history at Penn Relays.

It was a weekend for the ages for Virginia State at the Penn Relays. The program made history with its first win in the 4×100 relay with a time of 40.59.

The team of Ed’Treon WilcoxAllen Blair Steven Murdock and Igo Grimes have been consistent all season but saved their best for Saturday.

They outpaced UWI Mona, from Kingston, Jamaica as well as the powerhouse program from Saint Augustine’s to take the medal stand.

Blair and Grimes are just freshman, Murdock is a junior and Wilcox is a senior so the majority of this squad should be back in action next year.
