#8 Miles put up a good fight against #1 Nova Southeastern, but fell 80-66 in the first round of the D2 South Region Tournament on Saturday afternoon.

Miles was plagued by missed shots to start the first half and trailed by 11 points with 8:37 left. A quick 14-0 run from the Golden Bears grabbed the lead to go up 20-17 with 5:16 remaining before the half. The teams tied four times in the last five minutes, but a fast-break three-pointer from NSU put Miles behind 31-30 at halftime.
