Talladega College qualifies for NAIA Tournament

Talladega College received an at-large bid for the NAIA D1 men’s basketball tournament on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, the National Association for Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced #20 Talladega College received an at-large bid to the NAIA D1 Men’s Basketball Tournament.

Tallageda finished the regular season 24-7 overall and 11-3 in Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) play. The Tornadoes are ranked first in the GCAC in total defensive rebounds per-game averaging 28.9 and total rebound margin with a +13 average. Senior guard Da’Jon Streeter leads the team and is ranked second in the conference in scoring, averaging 18.6 points-per-game.

The Tornadoes will face University of Pikeville (KY) on Thursday, March 21. Tip-off is at 9 AM at Municipal Arena in Kansas City, Missouri.
