DURHAM, N.C. — North Carolina Central University Department of Athletics will be conducting a hurricane relief drive during the month of September.
Donated items will be collected at facility entrances during the home football game versus South Carolina State on Thursday, Sept. 21 (7:30 p.m.) in O’Kelly-Riddick Stadium and during the home volleyball match against North Carolina A&T on Thursday, Sept. 28 (6 p.m.) in McDougald-McLendon Arena.
For those who are not able to attend the designated home events, donations may be dropped off at the main office of McDougald-McLendon Arena during regular business hours through Sept. 29.
Items needed for hurricane relief
Items in need of donations are as follows:
disposable washcloths, clothing (should be new, i.e. undergarments, socks, sweatpants, tops), baby products (diapers, wipes, formula), hygiene products, toiletries, hand sanitizer, first aid supplies, flashlights/batteries, trash bags and non-perishable goods.
