NCCU rolls past A&T for fifth straight win behind Cole’s big game

After being swept by rival North Carolina A&T last season, North Carolina Central was determined not to let it happen again. NCCU came away with an 82-59 win at home to extend its winning streak to five games and send its rival home with its 19th straight loss.

Redshirt senior Patrick Cole leads NCCU in scoring, rebounding and assists and he showed that entire skillset on Saturday. Cole went for 27 points, six rebounds and seven assists while hitting eight 3-pointers.

NCCU improves to 14-6 while A&T falls to 1-19. NCCU will travel north to face Delaware State, who handed it a 63-62 loss on its home floor in the MEAC opener.
