Grambling State’s football program is coming off a stellar season in which it made an appearance in the SWAC Championship Game for the first time since 2011. Grambling fell 45-21 to Alcorn State, but finished the season 9-2.

I really hope that VUL game was scheduled years ago. There is no need for Grambling to be playing schools of that caliber at this point. There are plenty of SIAC schools that are closer and would put up a better fight.
