CIT Day One: JSU wins, SCSU waits

Jackson State may have fallen just short in the SWAC Tournament, but they still have more games to play. JSU beat Sam Houston State 81-77 in the first round of the College Insider Tournament (CIT) after going to overtime.

// The win was Jackson State’s first in the postseason since 1993. That team, led by Lindsey Hunter, beat UConn 90-88 before falling to Southwest Missouri State. JSU improved to 20-14 on the season. They now wait to see who they’ll play in the second round, as there is no set bracket for the game.
