The NFL Draft season is heating up, and an HBCU product may soon be among one of its hottest commodities really soon. South Carolina State defensive tackle Javon Hargrave is reeking havoc at the East/West Shrine Game practice this week and his name is generating a buzz.

The MEAC already knows how good Hargrave is. The 6’2, 295 pound Salisbury, NC native capped off an impressive career at SC State with 59 tackles and 13.5 sacks en route to being named MEAC Defensive Player of The Year last season.

The Shrine Game will take place on Saturday.
South Carolina State has a history of producing great defensive players, going back to Donnie Shell and Harry Carson to former Lions pass rushing star Robert Porche. Keep an eye on Hargrave, as he could be next in line.
