1. Virginia Union (4-1, 2-0): Union is one touchdown away from being undefeated, losing a close one to FCS opponent Gardner-Webb on the road. VUU is home to the top ranked defense in Division II.
2. Tuskegee (4-1, 3-0): Things were rolling along pretty smoothly for Tuskegee until Saturday’s setback against UNC-Pembroke.
3. Bowie State (4-1, 2-0): Like VUU, Bowie State is one touchdown away from being undefeated. They will be tested next week against Chowan, who brings a 4-1 record to the table as well.
4. Virginia State (3-2, 1-1): The defending CIAA champs bounced back with a win over St. Aug on Saturday.
5. Elizabeth City State (3-1, 1-1): ECSU bounced back from its loss to Winston-Salem State with a dominating 41-6 win over Livingstone on Saturday.
