Texas Southern returns to the NCAA Tournament for the second-straight year in 2015 after winning the SWAC Tournament last week. The good news for TSU: They won’t be a 16 seed and have to participate in a First Four game. The bad news for TSU: They get to face Arizona.
The Wildcats enter Thursday’s matchup on an 11 game winning streak, including a 80-52 win over Oregon in the PAC 12 Championship Game. They have three players averaging double-figures, led by Stanley Johnson’s 14.1 ppg. They have another three players averaging over nine points.
Arizona really excels on defense, as it allowed just 58.6 points per game. It also controlled the boards, limiting opponents to just 26.4 rebounds per game.
